Lily Tomlin Wins May Madness: Queer Edition and more in this Month’s Round-Up!
A recap of this month in Glitterjaw.
May Madness: All Queer Edition from The Mixed Reviews
The Mixed Reviews brought back May Madness: All Queer Edition this month, putting some of your favorite queer icons in a bracket to compete for the coveted Pride Episode. This year, some returning faves and newcomers alike battled for your adoration and votes on TMR’s Instagram and Patreon.
On the east side of the bracket, Elliot Page brought home victory against Tessa Thompson while Lily Tomlin’s massive star power gave her the win over Gregg Araki. In Round 2, Lily took Elliot out handily and awaited the winner of Sir Ian McKellen and Rock Hudson. Then, in an upset no bracketologists saw coming, Hudson told McKellen that he shall not pass and sent Sir Ian packing.
Facing off on the Mixed Reviews Patreon for the finals, Lily told Rock it was she who would be moving on and showed Rock his last sunset (of the competition).
May Madness: All Queer Edition is a wrap, and we can’t wait to hear Gavin and Louie dive into Lily Tomlin’s career in June, from The Carol Burnett Show and The Magic School Bus to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and 80 for Brady. While you wait, be sure to check out their latest episode on Mrs. Incredible herself, Holly Hunter!
